New Orleans Before the Flood

Before the floodgates of hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans devastating this wonderful city, I had a chance to indulge myself in the celebration of its diverse culture. Disaster and devastation is not new to this city. On two other occasions it was razed to the ground by fire but bounced back in characteristic style, associated with this part of the world. My journey to this Mississippi Delta city was twofold – one was to walk in the footsteps of jazz legend, Louis Armstrong, and the other to understand more about its cultural confluences.
