| Sazi Dlamini
is a special and unusual father. He is a musician studying for his
doctorate. His wife is an architect and lecturer. Their initial
separate roots ( Sazi from a township and Christine from a previously
‘white” suburb in Durban) have settled in the soil of
Seaview, a lower middleclass mixed suburb of Durban. They have one
child Zwelisizwe (meaning New Voice), a product of their relationship
and love.
My photo essay journeys into the life
of Sazi, a special father whose care and love for their child is
extraordinary, often taking responsibility for cooking, and childcare.
Sazi is a “Special Father” and part of a special family.
